Detail Itinerary - Day to Day Route Description
Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, an airport representative from Ambition Himalaya will pick you up and take you to the hotel. After getting fresh in the Hotel we will take a rest and later will start exploring the town. If we have time, then we will go for dinner at a typical Nepali cultural restaurant for dinner with the director of Ambition Himalaya. We will discuss the trip in detail before returning to the hotel.
Meals Included: Complimentary welcome dinner
Day 02: Everest Experience Flight & Patan and Bhaktapur and overnight in Nagarkot
Early in the morning, we will drive to the airport for a magical and stunning mountain flight. For people not doing any treks, a mountain flight is the best option for stunning views of the Himalayas.
Our mountain flight is about for an hour and after that, we will return to the airport. We will return to the hotel and shortly we will start our sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley. Our sightseeing covers 4 major places as below:
Our first day of sightseeing tour in Kathmandu will be started after having breakfast in the hotel. The director of the company will introduce us to our tour guide. We will start the trip by sightseeing in Patan.
Patan is a wonderful heritage site situated in the valley with thousands of years old monuments and creativity. Continuing our trip, we will go to Bhaktapur; one of the major heritage sites of Nepal, as also listed by UNESCO. Bhaktapur also has different kinds of attractive and creative carvings to look at. Bhaktapur was a palace a long time ago and now all these palaces are here for sightseeing.
After ending our trip to Bhaktapur, we will drive to Nagarkot; a magical hill station. Nagarkot is a popular hill station at a one and half hour’s drive from Kathmandu. This top of the hill is popular for sunrise and sunset viewing. For those who do not have time to go trekking, this hill has been a good option for viewing the Himalayan panorama.
Meals Included: Breakfast
Day 3: Trek to Changu Narayan (3/4 hours) and drive to Kathmandu
We will have breakfast in the hotel and start walking down to Changu Narayan Temple. This temple is also an old Hindu temple situated near the Kathmandu valley. The hike to Changu Narayan is pleasant, hike through small villages and pine forests.
The hike is about 3 hours from Nagarkot and it’s downhill almost everywhere. We will explore tiny towns and smiling local people. Finally, after reaching Changu Narayan, we will take a look there and plan to drive to Kathmandu.
Meals Included: Breakfast
Day 4: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley in the day
Swoyambhunath: The tour will start from Swoyambhunath, also known as ‘Monkey Temple’ among tourists. Swoyambhunath is one of the most popular holy sites for Buddhist people all over the world. This area is inhabited by lots of monkeys and that is why the area is called Monkey Temple by tourists. Swyambhunath is a holy place situated on the top of the hill on the west of Kathmandu valley.
Pashupatinath: After Swoyambhunath, we will continue our tour to Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath is the biggest and most popular Hindu holy temple among Hindus, mostly in Nepal and India. This is a popular temple located on the bank of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu valley in the east of Kathmandu. Only typical Hindus are allowed to enter the main entrance of the Temple. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the oldest temples in Kathmandu.
Bouddhanath: Bouddhanath is another most popular and sacred Buddhist stupa in the Kathmandu valley. This holy place is popular among Buddhist people all over the world. This stupa is located in the North-East of Kathmandu valley. The stupa’s massive mandala makes the stupa one of the largest stupa in Nepal. The Bouddhanath area is inhabited by Tibetan refugees for a long time.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Finally, we will conclude our tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square; one of the most advanced sites in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square gives you a spectacular example of the traditional architecture of Kathmandu Valley.
The whole palace is crafted with amazing crafts by the typical people of Kathmandu Valley; Newars. This palace was originally a royal palace before the royal family moved to another palace. Another characteristic of the palace is the only ‘living goddess of Nepal. Every year there is a celebration in the palace during the Dashain festival with the ‘Virgin Living Goddess of Nepal’.

Today is the last day for us in Nepal if we do not have any other plans to do. Depending on our flight time, we will prepare for the departure. If we have some hours, then we will probably go to the shops to see if we can find any souvenirs. If our flight is in the morning, then we won’t have time to do anything, so shortly after having breakfast we will straightly go to the airport for the departure.

Gema AVerified Great private tour in Nepal We had a wonderful tour of Nepal organized by Shishir, the owner of Ambition Himalaya. From our first contact, he answered quickly, providing a lot of information and suggesting improvements to our original plan. We came in August, during the monsoon season, and trekked to Poon Hill, visited Bandipur, and enjoyed a few days of safari in the Chitwan area. The whole trip was tailor-made with a private driver and adapted to our available days. They were always punctual and the accommodations were excellent. Shishir was also our guide during the trek, always attentive to our needs, very friendly, and, as a bonus, he speaks Spanish. I highly recommend Ambition Himalaya. HudsonVerified Gokyo was even better than i expected Honestly, this trek turned out to be one of the best trips I’ve taken in nepal. gokyo lake was even more beautiful in person, and the whole trail had something different to offer each day. our guide from ambition himalaya was excellent friendly, relaxed, and always there when we needed him. He never rushed us and made the long walking days much easier. Everything was well organized, from the airport pickup to the trek itself. I’m really glad I chose ambition himalaya and would definitely travel with them again. Cory GVerified One of my best trekking experiences I honestly didn’t expect upper mustang to be this amazing. the scenery changes so much along the way, and every day felt different. what i enjoyed most was the peaceful villages, old monasteries and the feeling of being far away from the busy world. our guide was excellent and made the whole trek much easier and more enjoyable. he was friendly, knowledgeable and always there when we needed him. this was definitely one of the best treks of my life. If I return to nepal, i will definitely request the same guide again. ThomasVerified One of the best mornings in nepal The early start was completely worth it. The nagarkot sunrise was beautiful, and the walk through the quiet trails made the morning even better. our guide from ambition himalaya was friendly, on time, and easy to talk to. the hike was well organized without feeling rushed. Quiero destacar especialmente a Bharat y Samir. 🙏🏔️❤️ moagVerified One of my best experiences in nepal To be honest, this trek wasn't even my first choice when I started planning my nepal trip. After speaking with Shishir from ambition himalaya, I decided to give it a try, and I'm really happy I did. Looking back now, it was easily the highlight of my entire visit. The route was peaceful, the mountain scenery kept getting better every day, and standing beside the hidden alpine lake felt unreal after days of hiking. our guide was fantastic throughout the journey, always checking on everyone and sharing interesting stories about the places we passed. the tea houses were comfortable, everything was well organized, and I never felt rushed. If I return to nepal for another trek, Ambition Himalaya will definitely be the first company I contact DanielVerified 45 days in nepal and this was my favorite ,memory I've been traveling around Nepal for the last 45 days, and this trek easily became my favorite part of the trip. the mountains were incredible, but what really stayed with me was the kindness of the people. everywhere we stopped, locals greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel welcome. I booked with ambition himalaya, and I'm glad I did. nothing felt rushed or overly planned. our guide knew when to chat and when to simply let us enjoy the silence of the mountains. walking into annapurna base camp after days on the trail was an unforgettable feeling, and it's a memory I'll carry home with me. MazamVerified Worth Every Step to Annapurna Base Camp I wasn't sure what to expect before starting the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, but it turned out to be one of the best trips I've done. The trails were beautiful, the villages felt welcoming, and the mountain views kept getting better each day. Our guide was excellent—always on time, easy to talk to, and happy to answer every question. He made sure everyone walked at a comfortable pace and stayed safe throughout the trek. The whole trip was well managed, and I never had to worry about anything. If you're thinking about doing ABC, I'd happily recommend this team.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
