The second highlight of the trek is Nagarkot Hill famous for the mesmerizing views of several mountains, such as Mount Everest, Mount Gaurishankar, Mount Langtang, and the Rolwaling Himalayan mountain range. The flawless beauty of the trail to Nagarkot, its rich forests with its amazing waterfalls and wildflowers will allow you to discover Kathmandu from a new perspective.
Our Chisapani Nagarkot trek will come to an end when you set foot on another World Heritage Site of UNESCO– Changunarayan Temple. The most important temple of Lord Vishnu is decorated with ancient stone sculptures and monuments.
Weather and Best Season for Chisapani Nagarkot Trek
The weather in Nepal varies with the season and altitude. Our Chisapani Nagarkot trek will take you to a moderate elevation of 2300 m above sea level. It can be quite cold in the hills of Nagarkot if you decide to trek in December, January, and February. These months are the winter season in Nepal. The days are mostly sunny, with temperatures from 5 to 10 degrees Celsius. But there is a low chance of snowfall.
During the summer months of June, July, and August, the temperature during the day can be 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. However, heavy rainfall, slippery trails, and cloudy days are often possible.
March, April, and May are the spring months and the most ideal time for the Chisapani Nagarkot trek. The daytime temperature of 15 to 20 degrees Celsius makes the hike more pleasant and calm. Likewise, September, October, and November are autumn or fall months, which is also the post-monsoon period, making it another favorable time for this trek.
The skies are clear, the views are mesmerizing, the weather is bright and sunny, and the trail is abundant with blossoming rhododendron flowers and rich vegetation. The autumn time also allows you to participate in the cultural festivals of Dashain and Tihar and the colorful festival of Holi.
However, the Chisapani Nagarkot trek is a short trek at a moderate elevation of 2300 m so this trek is suitable to undertake all year round.
Chisapani Nagarkot Trek Difficulty
Our Chisapani Nagarkot trek is an easy trek suitable for all kinds of travelers. The highest elevation gain during this trek occurs when you hike to Chisapani at an altitude of 2300 m., and the second highest elevation gain occurs at Nagarkot hills, which lie at a moderate height of 2100 m above sea level.
In addition, the trekking trail to Chisapani and Nagarkot is relatively easy and well-marked. Only the hike to Chisapani has moderate ascend and descent but with good physical fitness, it can be easily overcome. So even travelers who are new to the diverse landscape of Nepal and have no trekking experience can easily undertake this trek.
The trek is also ideal for a short family vacation, a holiday with friends and celebrating Christmas and welcoming New Year in the pristine atmosphere of Nepal.
Insurance for Chisapani Nagarkot Trek

Quiero destacar especialmente a Bharat y Samir. 🙏🏔️❤️ moagVerified One of my best experiences in nepal To be honest, this trek wasn't even my first choice when I started planning my nepal trip. The guide was friendly, professional, and always supportive. This was a truly memorable adventure, and I would happily recommend Ambition Himalaya to anyone planning the Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal. MatthewVerified Manaslu Circuit Trek I spent around 2 months in Nepal (May–June) and completed the 16 days Manaslu Circuit Trek during this time, and I’m still staying here for 15 more days. The trek felt like real mountain life, walking daily through rivers, forests, suspension bridges, and remote villages where everything is very simple and slow. Tea houses were basic but warm after long tiring hikes, and locals were always kind and welcoming. The guide was very friendly and supportive throughout the journey, which made the whole experience easier and more enjoyable. Special thanks to Shishir, owner of Ambition Himalaya, for arranging everything so smoothly. The hardest part was Larke La Pass with cold wind and altitude, but the views were unforgettable. No luxury, just raw Himalayas, silence, and a real experience that stays in mind. הלל פינסVerified amazing annapurna base camp trek last month i completed the annapurna base camp trek with ambition himalaya treks & expeditions and it was my first trekking experience. everything went very smoothly from start to finish. mr shishir organized the trip very well and was always helpful. the people of nepal were kind and welcoming. i had a wonderful time and am planning to visit nepal again this october. highly recommended.. From the very beginning, Shishir was incredibly helpful in adapting our itinerary to fit our availability and adjusted both the trek and the pricing accordingly — without any hassle. That kind of flexibility and transparency made a huge difference. Our guide Bharat and porter Shyam were simply outstanding. Both were kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about our wellbeing throughout the entire trek. They always made sure we were comfortable, well-paced, and enjoying every moment.
