The downward slope is not strenuous but should be meticulously footed. Then we proceed on the riverbanks and woodlands that are thick before arriving at Lama Hotel towards the end of the afternoon.
This is a trek that is a necessary segment of the Gosaikunda trek, which is perfectly suited to our Langtang Gosaikunda trek schedule.
Day 9: Hiking between Lama Hotel (2470 m) and Thulo Syabru (2230 m)
On the 9th and final day of our Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, we will be making a breathtaking trip of 5-6 hours by visiting the very scenic village of Thulo Syabru located between the Lama Hotel and Sing Gompa.
We start by descending through a serene pine, bamboo, and rhododendron forest, listening to the rippling sounds of the river and the mountain here and there. This path then ascends continuously to Thulo Syabru, through small settlements and terraced land.
As we move towards the village, there is a breathtaking view of the ridge top, and there is a friendly cultural environment.
The arrival of Thulo Syabru is a fine start in our trekking journey of Gosaikunda and a smooth passage to continue our trek in the Langtang Gosaikunda trek program.
Day 10: Hike in Thulo Syabru (2230 m) to Sing Gompa (3330 m).

The 5-6-hour walk will take us through heavily packed rhododendron and oak forests where we breathe the fresh mountain air and occasionally see wildlife.
As we climb the altitude, the landscape of the Ganesh Himal and the Langtang range is more stunning. The path is easily tracked and leads slowly into a peaceful upland region. After arriving at Sing Gompa, we visit the local monastery and cheese factory.
This addition would be a great enhancement to our Gosaikunda trekking trip and would perfectly fit in our Langtang Gosaikunda trek program.
Day 11: Hiking between Sing Gompa (3330m) and Lauribinayak (3950m).
On day 11 of our Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, we make our way on a short but fruitful 3-4-hour hike from Sing Gompa to Lauribinayak. The path to the house is a slow climb through pine and rhododendron bushes, with a peaceful environment and cool mountain air.
The topography becomes more spectacular as we become more elevated and we have wide panoramic views of the Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, and the Tibetan mountains in the far. The last phase is steeper, but it is an exceptionally scenic part.
It is a good place to be in Lauribinayak with its beautiful ridgeline location and serene environment- a motivational moment in our Langtang Gosaikunda trekking trip and a significant destination in the Langtang Gosaikunda trek schedule.

This is a memorable sight that is a great destination of the Langtang Gosainkunda trek program.

Day 13 of our Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is one of the toughest days that would pay off when we cross the high Lauribina Pass. The 7-8-hour trek starts with the gradual ascent to an altitude past Gosaikunda Lake, passing through rocky fields and alpine spots.
Attainment of the pass allows splendid sights of the Langtang range, Manaslu, and the highlands. The path down to Ghopte is very steep and rugged, and one has to take care of the way using narrow forested paths.
When we arrive at the quiet village of Ghopte, we are immensely proud of ourselves.
This challenging part is a favorite attraction of the Gosaikunda trekking and a major landmark in the Langtang Gosaikunda trek itinerary.
Day 14: Hiking between Ghopte (3,430 to 3,530 m) and Thadepati (3650 m), and Kutumsang (2450 m).
Our Langtang Gosaikunda Trek on the 14th day of the trek will be a long but beautiful trek, as we will go over a long 7–8-hour trek to Kutumsang along Thadepati. The path starts with a slow climb through the thick pine and rhododendron woods and comes to the high, windy ridge of Thadepati.
Here we command a wide range of the Helambu valley and remote snow-capped mountains.
The road continues to decline gradually through some woody hills and ancient villages, creating a refreshing break in the scenery. Towards the end of the afternoon, we arrive at Kutumsang, a quiet village that receives tired travelers.
This scenic path will add more pleasure to our Gosaikunda trekking experience, and it will be an inseparable part of the Langtang Gosaikunda trek itinerary.
Day 15: Trek from Kutumsang (2450m) to Chisapani (2160m)
The 15th day of our Langtang Gosaikunda Trek will start with a nice downhill walk (unusual for Langtang Gosaikunda Trek) through the ancient villages, terraced plots, and lots of trees.
The ride that takes about 6-7 hours is serene and takes place in clean mountain air. We move on, and the road leads gently up and up towards Chisapani, a lovely hilltop village that commands a panoramic sunrise and sunset over the Himalayas.
The shifting sceneries, whereby forests have been transformed into open ridges, make the trek fun and different. As the afternoon comes around, we arrive at Chisapani and rest and enjoy the peaceful scenery.
It is a rewarding day that can further be termed as a memorable chapter in our Gosaikunda trekking experience, and is a natural flow to the Langtang Gosaikunda trek itinerary.
Day 16: Trek from Chisapani (2160 m) to Sundarijal and drive back to Kathmandu (1300 m).
On the 16th day of our Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, this is the last leg of our expedition as we climb Chisapani and to Sundarijal.
The 4-5 hour hike starts with a tranquil hike in the Shivapuri National Park with thick forests, running streams, and a wildlife-abundant environment.
Slowly, this path leads us down to Sundarijal, where we leave the park and get our vehicle. It is at this point that we take a drive back to Kathmandu, back to the bustling city environment.
This pleasant final day completes our Gosaikunda trekking trip on a pleasant note and brings to an end the satisfying experience that is represented in our Langtang Gosaikunda trek itinerary.

Trip Information
Best Time
Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is possible during all seasons, although they are different. Without any doubt, spring (March-May) is the best season, with clear sky, warm days, and colorful forests with rhododendrons.
Summer/monsoon is associated with green foliage and vivid scenery, as well as rain and muddy protrusions.
Another ideal time is autumn (September-November), with consistent weather reports, clear sightseeing, and low temperatures, which is ideal to carry out a Gosaikunda trek smoothly.
The winter (December-February) is serene, with snowy sceneries, yet extremely cold and at times, difficult at high altitudes. Mountains, for instance, Langtang Lirung and Ganesh Himal, look beautiful in the dry season.
Make up warm-ups, rain jackets, and sun protection in spring and fall. Every season will present a new gust to this itinerary on the Langtang- Gosaikunda trek.
Elevation and Distance
The Gosaikunda Langtang Trek is surrounded by a range of altitudes and distances, which makes the trip thrilling and satisfying. The minimum point of the hiking is 1,460 meters in Syabrubes, and Lauribina Pass is the maximum point at approximately 4,681 meters high.
As we pass through the route, we start passing through the green forests and river valleys and shift to the alpine highlands. This is an approximate total of 100-120 kilometers of walking that is done over several days in the Langtang Gosaikunda trek itinerary comfortably.
In our pursuit of the trails, we get gradual climbs, scenic ridges, and serene descents. It is these alterations that render the Gosaikunda trek an adventure that is moderate enough to get trekkers who are passionate about diverse landscapes and marvelous mountain tops.
Difficulty and Altitude Sickness
The Langtang Gosainkunda trek is believed to be one of the moderate treks and has to be trekked by people who have good fitness and are beginners. The tracks consist of gradual ascents, wooden bridges, cliff formations, and elevated ridges, yet they can be handled as long as a person takes time to walk leisurely. The biggest problem is the altitude on the route over Lauribina Pass and Gosaikunda.
Going upwards, the air is thinner, and caused by a result, some trekkers can experience headaches, fatigue, or dizziness. Avoiding fast ascending, having ample water, and taking good rest are ways of preventing altitude sickness.
The Langtang Gosaikunda trek schedule is also planned in such a way that our elevation increment is gradual to ensure that we are not in danger. Gosaikunda trekking is actually a safe and enjoyable mountain adventure tour with well-preparedness and awareness.
Maximum and Minimum Walking Hours
In the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, the hours to be spent walking daily are varied and make the process balanced and comfortable. The average time we spend walking every day is 5 to 7 hours per day, depending on the terrain.
Gosaikunda Lake to Ghopte via Lauribina pass is the maximum walking day, and it also consumes approximately 7-8 hours, since the climb is very long, and the sharp ascent is very steep. The least time to walk is the Sing Gompa to Lauribinayak hike; however, it is only 3-4 hours.
Such changes are well-designed in the Langtang-Gosaikunda trek trip itinerary, which provides us with sufficient time to rest and appreciate the view. Gosaikinda trekking, when done steadily with adequate breaks, is an enjoyable and manageable experience for the majority of the trekkers.
Meals and Accommodation
In the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, all the major meals are taken, such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which makes it an easy and comfortable journey. For breakfast, eggs, toast, porridge, pancakes, or tea/coffee are generally eaten.
Along the way, tea houses serve lunch and dinner, which include dal bhat, noodles, pasta, soups, and rice varieties, providing sufficient energy to go on with the trekking of Gosaikunda. All additional items such as snacks, chocolates, bottled drinks, coffee expertise, and alcohol will be charged separately.
Accommodation is done in comfortable teahouses or lodges, as stated in the Langtang-Gosaikunda trek itinerary. Rooms are simple and neat, provided with twin beds and warm blankets.
There is water everywhere, but one can use purification tablets or purchase boiled water, or bottled water. In general, the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is comfortable and fun, especially when it comes to meals and accommodation.
Alternative Routes
The Langtang Gosaikunda Trek has several good alternative routes available, which will be taken depending on time, interest, and fitness level. Other trekkers also love starting at Sundarijal and passing through Chisapani and joining the main trail, which provides a more forest and village experience.
Some other people continue their Gosaikunda trekking trip and include the presence of the Helambu region, which has been characterized by the Tamang and Sherpa cultures. You would also be able to cut or extend the route as the Langtang-Gosaikunda trek itinerary states, and so such a route would be a good option for either beginners or seasoned mountaineers.
These alternative routes provide an alternative landscape, serene trails, and a special cultural experience, and hence the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is fit into the list of many kinds of travelers.
Can a beginner do this trek?
Under a good pace with adequate preparations, the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek can be done by a beginner. The routes are moderate with few steep parts and at Gosaikunda Lake and Lauribina Pass. Gosaikunda trekking has been an attraction to many first-time trekkers due to the beautiful view it is located in, the friendly villages, and the comforting tea houses.
The walking schedule of the Langtang Gosaikunda trek assists novice climbers in gradually adapting to the level and the number of walking hours per day. The training should be done a bit before traveling, walking, and one should also stay hydrated. Making the journey safe and enjoyable involves taking rest days, travelling at a slower pace, and listening to your body.
Even naive people can have all the pleasure of the serene scenes and cultural grace of the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek with the proper attitude.
Preparation and physical fitness
To have a better experience of the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, one should be well prepared and possess a minimum level of fitness. Gosaikanda trekking will involve a few steep climbs and high altitude, and therefore, before the trip, it is always useful to begin training a few weeks before you go. It is also necessary to stay hydrated, eat properly, and get enough sleep. The Langtang Gosaikunda Trek can be easily done comfortably with proper preparation.
Gadget Charging, Internet, and Communication
The Langtang Gosaikunda Trek has charging gadgets, communication, and internet facilities that are distributed throughout the trek, but could be scarce in the upper areas. In the Gosaikunda trekking, charging (a small additional fee) is available in most of the tea houses, thus carrying the power bank on board is convenient.
Some places have Wi-Fi, which may be slow because of the remote location. Mobile networks have also been tried in lower villages; however, the signal might become dysfunctional as you proceed with the Langtang-Gosaikunda trek itinerary to greater altitudes. David ExpositoVerified Wonderful!! Of the best experiences I've ever had, from the first moment. Bhakta and Hari, the porter and guide respectively, of the best. Super nice, friendly, attentive people, who are continually watching you feel good. You feel tucked in at all times. Trekking is beautiful. The views, the people, the villages. You need to live it to feel it.I will definitely do another one of the trekkings to base camp with them. Freedom57809069101Verified 1000% would recommend My husband and I travelled with Ambition Himalaya in 2025. We had a super easy time communicating with Shishir and he was amazing in helping us set an itinerary that worked for us. Ghaman (our guide) and Mohan (porter) were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. We were unable to hike our original route due to some non-altitude related health issues and they adjusted the plan so we could still make the most of our time. We also got sick at the end of the trek and had to change our flights home and Shishir was super accommodating and helpful while we navigated that. 1000% would recommend them. chiara fVerified Beautiful 3 days experience A wonderful experience! We did a three-day trek, passing through the villages of Ghorepani, Tadapani, and Gandruk. We saw the sunrise from Poon Hill and from Tadapani itself. We really enjoyed the refreshment stops along the way, where we always found great hospitality and delicious meals. We loved the accommodation in Ghorepani, which had a beautiful common room surrounded by mountains, served good food, and had a lovely, convivial atmosphere. All of this was organized by Shishir with great professionalism: communicating with him before departure was quick and easy; we had no problems at all; he guided us with expertise, cheerfulness, and discretion at the same time. Thank you, and see you soon! Travelling in Nepal with Shishir from Ambition Himalaya to enjoy and learn about their culture is a luxury and a privilege. It’s the third year in a row that we go to November to see the snowy Himalayas and we plan to come back in the next year 2026 with it too. Explore10590520561Verified Wonderful experience Everything went well during the trek, it was well organized by the guide. Very friendly and attentive to us. DaanVerified Thanks Ambition Himalaya - Great trip, excellent guide, perfect weather, what more to expect! We booked the Everest View trek at Ambition Himalaya, a beautiful hike with the highlight of the view from the Everest View Hotel. The trip was excellently arranged by Ambition Himalaya, with good information in advance.Special thanks to our guide, Ganesh, who was tremendously helpful, and made the trip even easier, cozier and more beautiful! I would definitely recommend booking with Ambition Himalaya.Due to delayed flights in the days prior to our flight to Lukla unfortunately had one day delay. The arrangements that this entailed were picked up by our guide from Ambition Himalaya, including arranging an affordable overnight stay. SooVerified Enchanting Australian Base Camp, Dhampus and Sarangkot trek I recently went on a 3 day trek in Nepal in December 2025. We started from Kande village, trekked to Australian Base Camp then to Dhampus village and finally to Sarangkot village which overlooks Pokhara city.My guide was Shishir who is also the owner of the trekking company.Even though the trek was shorter and easier than the other popular treks like EBC and ABC treks, this short trek packed value for money. Along much of the trail we witnessed the astounding and breathtaking vistas of the mighty Annapurna range. We also trekked through pristine and beautiful villages and got to experience firsthand the diverse cultural heritage.Shishir notwithstanding being the owner of the trekking company was also a very experienced guide. He led me to explore a new, hardly trodden path from Dhampus to Sarangkot that maximized the view of the Annapurna range. This was the third straight year I had employed the services of this company. I had done the EBC trek in 2023 and the ABC trek in 2024.Shishir and his staff provided excellent and thoughtful service and you’re guaranteed to be well taken care of from the moment you arrive in Kathmandu till the time you depart from this magical country. eduardo bVerified Manaslu Trek Excellent experience! Communication with Shishir, the owner, was smooth and quick. The trek was great value for money. We were accompanied by Ghaman (guide) and Ghagam (porter). They were both professional and friendly, taking care of us throughout the entire trip. Highly recommended! Romina RVerified Gokyo-Ri Trekking Our 10-day trek to Gokyo Ri was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Everything was very good organized. Our guide was really thoughtful, attentive, and always willing to adapt to what we wanted. We felt safe and we enjoyed the time a lot.Every day was sunny, clear and beautiful, and the views of the Himalayas mountains were absolutely stunning. From the moment we arrived, everything was taken care of. We were given warm sleeping bags and jackets, and we also got help with exchanging money and organziing a Nepali SIM cardAt the end we received a T-shirt and a scarf on our departure day. This was lovely. We can wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone who loves trekking. It was an unforgettable memory.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
