With Ambition Himalaya Treks, this Everest luxury trek is carefully planned to give you both comfort and a smooth travel experience. Detail Itinerary - Day to Day Route Description
Arrival in Kathmandu
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu where we will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check in we will have time for rest or just a short walk around Thamel which is a busy area with shops, cafes and restaurants. We can also pay money and purchase a local SIM card if necessary. Dinner is on your own, so you can choose any place you like. It is better to drink bottled or boiled water and to eat light food. This day of your Everest luxury trek is easy and helps you prepare for the journey.
Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding
Early morning we will fly to Lukla on a short flight. The flight provides us with nice views of hills and mountains. After landing, we will begin our Everest luxury trek with a gentle walk towards Phakding. We will walk through small villages, green forests and cross suspension bridges over the river. The trail is generally easy and helps our body to acclimate to the altitude. We will walk at a comfortable pace, and take short breaks. After arriving in Phakding we will spend the night in a lodge, where we can relax and eat a nice meal.
Trek to Namche Bazaar
Today we will continue our Everest luxury trek towards Namche Bazaar. The trail runs along the river and we will cross several suspension bridges along the way. On this day, we will enter Sagarmatha National Park as well. After lunch, we will hike uphill for couple hours at a slow and easy pace. This part can feel a bit challenging, but we’ll take enough breaks. Namche Bazaar is a lively town, with shops, bakeries and cafes. After reaching there, we will rest and enjoy evening. This stop allows us to adapt to the altitude.
Hike to Everest View Hotel
Today we will hike to Everest View Hotel as part of our Everest luxury trek. The walk is slow and helps for proper acclimatization. We will pass small villages and open points of view along the trail. After arriving in the hotel, we will get clear views of Mount Everest and nearby peaks. This makes it a special Everest view luxury trek experience. We will have lunch at the hotel, and spend the time relaxing in a quiet and comfortable place. In the evening we will stay overnight at the hotel and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Trek to Phakding
Today we will begin our return journey on the Everest luxury trek as we walk down from Everest View Hotel. We will pass through Namche Bazaar, and continue towards Phakding. Most of the trail is downhill which will make the walk easier but we will all still be walking at a steady pace to keep comfortable. Along the way, we will pass through forests, cross bridges, and enjoy the sounds of the river. We will take meal breaks and short breaks during the walk. After reaching Phakding, we will have a rest in a lodge and will have a warm dinner.
Trek to Lukla
Today we will complete our Everest luxury trek by walking back to Lukla. The trail is river side and has some easy uphill sections. We will walk past villages we have passed before and enjoy the last views of the mountains along the way. The walk is less in comparison with the earlier days and thus, we will have time to relax after reaching Lukla. In the evening, we will spend time together, and thank our trekking team for their support. We will stay overnight in Lukla and enjoy our last night in the mountain region.
Lukla to Kathmandu Air Transfer
Early in the morning we will take flight back to Kathmandu. During the flight, we can have glimpses of the hills and mountains for the last time. After landing, we will be transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is free for rest or for personal activities. We can go on a walk around the city, or do some shopping for souvenirs, or sit down at the hotel. This marks the end of the trekking part of the Everest luxury trek and gives us time to enjoy the city at a slow pace.
Rest Day in Kathmandu
Today we will have a free day in Kathmandu after completing our Everest luxury trek. We can visit cultural sites such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, or visit Swayambhunath. We may also decide to stroll through our local markets or dine at different restaurants. This day is not restricted to specific time, so we can spend this day in a way we like. It is also a good time to kick back and recuperate from the trek. In the evening, we can enjoy a quiet dinner, or explore the rest of the city.
Departure or Extend Stay
After breakfast we will transfer you to the airport for our departure. This will be the end of your Everest view luxury trek. If you have extra time then you can choose to extend our stay in Nepal. Options include visiting places like Pokhara, Chitwan or other trekking areas. Our team can help set up additional plans, if needed. You will leave with good memories from the journey and the time in the mountains and the city.

Trip Information
Trek Difficulty
The Everest luxury trek is a short and well planned journey in the Everest region, but it still requires a moderate level of fitness because of the altitude. During this trek, we will walk between four to six hours a day on clear and well maintained trails. The paths are non-technical and there is no climbing involved or special equipment needed. However, as we climb the height the air becomes thinner, which can cause the walking activity to feel slower and more tiresome than normal.
We will follow a slow pace to help properly adjust the body. One important practice is to walk at a higher altitude during the day and sleep at a lower altitude. This helps to reduce the chances of altitude sickness. Our guide will pace and take regular rest breaks to allow everyone to walk comfortably.
The house is clean and comfortable without any camping or heavy carrying equipment required. Most travellers have the ability to complete this journey safely and have an enjoyable experience with the aid of basic fitness, rest and direction.
Weather and Best Season for Everest Luxury Trek
The best time to plan an Everest view luxury trek is during spring from March to May and autumn from September to November. During these months, the weather is generally stable and the skies are clear for the major part of the day. This allows us to see the mountains better, and makes walking more comfortable. Daytime temperatures are usually moderated, but mornings and evenings can be cold, especially at higher elevations.
The Everest view luxury trek is especially popular in these seasons because the views are clearer and the trails are in good condition. In the spring you can also find flowers along the lower trails, while in the autumn you can enjoy fresh air after the rainy season.
The summer months bring rain, which can make trails slippery and make it hard to see your way. Winter is colder and windy, and some lodges may not be open. For a smooth and comfortable trip it is best to opt for spring or autumn.
Food and Drink in Everest Luxury Trek
During the Everest luxury trek, meals are simple, fresh, and prepared to give enough energy for daily walking. We will eat local food such as dal bhat (rice, lentils and vegetables). Other options such as noodles, soups, eggs and some western dishes are also available in most lodges. The meals are filling, and help to maintain energy levels throughout the trek.
We will be eating breakfast and dinner at the lodges and lunch on the trail throughout the day. Tea is usually served, such as milk tea and ginger tea, which helps keep your body warm and hydrated. It is very important to drink enough fluids during the trek, so you should use boiled, filtered, or properly treated drinking water for safety.
Tap water isn’t safe to drink in this region, so proper care is required. It is also better to avoid alcohol and reduce the intake of coffee as this can lead to dehydration. Eating well and staying hydrated will make your luxury Everest trek more comfortable.
Altitude Sickness in Everest Luxury Trek
Altitude sickness is something we need to be aware of during the Everest luxury trek, especially when we go above 2500 meters. It can affect anyone of any age and fitness level. Common symptoms include a headache, dizziness, nausea and tiredness. Understanding these signs in the early stages is important so that proper steps can be taken in time.
We will walk slowly and take rest enough to allow our body to adjust naturally. Drinking enough water, eating regular meals, and getting enough rest are essential components of staying healthy. We also plan to spend some time in Namche and hike to a higher altitude and sleep at the lower altitude, which helps in safer acclimatization.
In case you are ill, report to the guide immediately. The guide will decide whether to sleep or to go down the altitude where they are when necessary. Most people do this trek without much trouble with a bit of planning and support.
Preparation and Fitness
Before starting the Everest view luxury trek, it is helpful to prepare your body with regular physical activity. Exercises such as walking, hiking, running, or cycling may help you increase your stamina and feel more comfortable during the trek. You can also walk some uphill and climbing steps to make your legs strong.
It is a good idea to carry a light backpack on practice walks and get used to the conditions on the trekking. You do not need to be very fit, though, having a basic level of strength and endurance will make things easier. Being physically prepared is also helpful to reduce tiredness and aid in recovery from each day of walking.
We recommend that you begin your preparation at least 4 to 6 weeks before the trip. Staying active, eating right, and staying positive in our minds will make a big difference. With the right preparation, you can fully enjoy your Everest luxury trek.
Visa and Permits for Everest Luxury Trek
For the Everest luxury trek, all international travelers need a tourist visa to enter Nepal. You can obtain this visa on arrival at the airport of Kathmandu or can apply this visa online before your trip. Nepal provides various visa durations of 15, 30 or 90 days, depending upon your travel plan. The process is simple and all you need is your passport and a passport size photo.
In addition to visa, we will need trekking permits for Everest region. These include the Sagarmatha National Park permit, and the Khumbu local permit. These permits help to protect the environment and support local communities. Our team will help you to arrange for these permits, so that you do not have to worry about the process.
You should also remember to bring your permits with you on the trek because they are checked in various places on the trek. With all documents prepared, your Everest view luxury trek will begin smoothly without any delays.
Health and Safety for Everest Luxury Trek
Health and safety are very important during the Everest luxury trek. We will also exercise good care such as walking slowly, take enough water, take rest after every time. Guides are trained and experienced and they will keep a check on your status during the adventure.
Our guide will also carry a basic first aid kit so you only have to carry a personal medicines. There are those travelers who carry with them some altitude medicine after seeing a doctor. We might have to relocate to a lower altitude, or we might have to evacuate in case of a severe illness. This is why you should pay attention to your guide and inform them that you are not feeling well.
We also recognize safe food and water guidelines when on the trek. In the city it is better to use reliable transport and not to leave your belongings outside. With proper care and guidance, the Everest view luxury trek can be completed safely and comfortably.
Transportation
Transportation is an important part of the Everest luxury trek. The trek starts with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a journey of about 30 minutes. This flight has great views of hills, mountains and is one of the highlights of the trip. Flights tend to operate early in the morning based on the weather conditions.
If there are any delays on the flight, it is possible that we will have to wait or will use an alternative option such as flying from another airport or using a helicopter service. These changes are dependent on weather but our team will help manage the situation.
During the trek all the travel is made on foot, over well defined trails. After finishing the trek, we will fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel by private vehicle. This makes the luxury Everest trek smooth and comfortable from start to finish.
Travel Insurance for Everest Luxury Trek
Travel insurance is required for the Everest luxury trek and should be arranged before arriving in Nepal. Your insurance must cover trekking at high altitude, and include emergency evacuation by helicopter. This is important, because medical facilities in the mountains are limited.
Evacuation may be required in case of illness or injury, and insurance can be used to pay evacuation. It can also be used when the flight is delayed, canceled, and in any other unexpected situation. You should also make sure that you check your policy specifications and make sure that it covers trekking up to at least 4000 meters.
We suggest you carry a copy of your insurance documentation with you on the trip. Although our guides have simple medical tools, insurance is an added protection during your journey. With proper coverage, you can enjoy your luxury Everest trek with more confidence and peace of mind.
Alternative Routes for Everest Luxury Trek
Flights to Lukla can also be postponed due to weather at some time which is a common occurrence in the Everest area. In such cases, we will look for alternative options to continue the Everest luxury trek without major disruption. Alternatively, they can fly out of Manthali airport which is a stone throw away Kathmandu.
Alternatively, a helicopter service can also be used, which might be quicker but more expensive. These are determined by the availability and weather at the moment. Our team will assist you and help make the optimal solution. Some travelers also prefer to customize the journey by taking a combination of trek and helicopter return or even adding some days to the journey. This can make the experience more flexible. No matter the situation, we will do our best to keep your luxury Everest trek comfortable and well managed.
Your Extra Expenses
During the Everest luxury trek, most major services are included, but you should still carry some extra cash for personal expenses. These may include drinks, snacks, hot showers, WiFi and charging your devices at lodges. The cost for such services may vary from place to place; the prices are generally more at a higher altitude.
Tipping is also a common activity in Nepal. At the end of the trek it is polite to tip your guide and porters as a way to thank them for their support. The amount is subject to your satisfaction and budget but it is typically shared among the team.
You may also like to purchase souvenirs, small gifts, or additional food items along the way. It is best to carry Nepali currency with you as they do not accept cards in most trekking areas. Planning a small extra budget will help make your luxury Everest trek more comfortable.
Language and Communication
During the luxury Everest trek, communication is generally easy as many people in tourist areas speak basic English. Your guide will speak English and will help you to communicate with local people, if needed. This helps make the journey smoother and more comfortable.
Nepali is the primary language of the country and in the mountain regions, local languages are also spoken, such as Sherpa. Learning a few simple words such as “Namaste” for greeting, or “Dhanyabad” for thank you can make your experience more enjoyable.
Mobile phone networks are available in some parts of the trek, especially in Lukla, Phakding and Namche Bazaar. However, on higher places the signal may become weak or unavailable. It is a good idea to inform your family in advance that communication may be limited during your Everest view luxury trek.
Mobile Network, Internet and Charging Facilities
Internet and mobile access during the Everest luxury trek are available but limited in remote areas. In Kathmandu you will have good internet/ network coverage. Once you are on the trek, there are mobile signals at places such as Lukla and Namche, but they might not be in all places.
A lot of lodges offer WiFi service for an additional fee. The speed may be slow but it is useful for basic communication. Charging facilities are also available in most of the lodges, typically for a nominal fee. Since electricity is often being generated from solar power, charging time may be limited.
It’s helpful to carry around a power bank to keep your devices powered up. You can also purchase a local SIM card from Kathmandu for better network access. During the luxury Everest trek, it is good to stay connected when possible but also enjoy the quiet mountain environment.
Trip Extension
After completing the Everest luxury trek, you may wish to explore more of Nepal. There are a few options if you’re interested and have the time to extend your trip. You can visit Pokhara for lakes and mountain views or go to Chitwan National Park for doing wild life activities.
Cultural visits are also popular, e.g. Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha. You can also go for short tours around Kathmandu Valley to visit some temples and historical sites. These extensions allow you to see a broader experience of Nepal outside of the mountains.
If you are seeking more adventure, you can extend your trek by more days or do a helicopter tour in Everest region. Our team can assist you with your plans and arrangements for these extensions in an easy manner. Adding a few extra days after your luxury Everest trek can make your trip more complete and relaxing.
Tips for First Time Nepal Visitor
If this is your first time visiting Nepal, a few simple tips can make your Everest luxury trek more comfortable. Warm clothes should be packed, since the mountains can be quite chilly, and it can get chilly in the morning and evening. Layered clothes are most beneficial in changing weather conditions.
When visiting temples or local homes it is respectful to remove your shoes before entering. You may also find that there is a lot of bargaining in the markets, so you can politely talk prices as you shop. Always keep small cash with you in the Nepal currency for day-to-day transactions.
Use clean water and carry a copy of important documents such as your passport and travel insurance. A smile and patience will ensure that you enjoy your stay in the culture and will assist you in getting familiar with the local people. With this simple preparation, your Everest view luxury trek will be a pleasant and memorable experience.

We had a super easy time communicating with Shishir and he was amazing in helping us set an itinerary that worked for us. Ghaman (our guide) and Mohan (porter) were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. We were unable to hike our original route due to some non-altitude related health issues and they adjusted the plan so we could still make the most of our time. We also got sick at the end of the trek and had to change our flights home and Shishir was super accommodating and helpful while we navigated that. 1000% would recommend them. chiara fVerified Beautiful 3 days experience A wonderful experience! We started from Kande village, trekked to Australian Base Camp then to Dhampus village and finally to Sarangkot village which overlooks Pokhara city. My guide was Shishir who is also the owner of the trekking company. Even though the trek was shorter and easier than the other popular treks like EBC and ABC treks, this short trek packed value for money. Along much of the trail we witnessed the astounding and breathtaking vistas of the mighty Annapurna range. We also trekked through pristine and beautiful villages and got to experience firsthand the diverse cultural heritage. Shishir notwithstanding being the owner of the trekking company was also a very experienced guide. He led me to explore a new, hardly trodden path from Dhampus to Sarangkot that maximized the view of the Annapurna range. This was the third straight year I had employed the services of this company. I had done the EBC trek in 2023 and the ABC trek in 2024. Shishir and his staff provided excellent and thoughtful service and you’re guaranteed to be well taken care of from the moment you arrive in Kathmandu till the time you depart from this magical country.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
