The Everest Base Camp Trek with fly back by helicopter trip is a best and luxury way to witness the Everest Base camp and closer view around the area and upon reaching the targeted location, Everest Base Camp. This plan is offer who have limited time and want to luxury trekking and want to taste to see the Mountains from helicopter ride. And still wish to trek to the base camp, and also visit the Kalapatther and after down to Gorakshhep fly back to Lukla by helicopter.
This Everest Base Camp Trek with helicopter fly back tour, we trek to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest, and visit Kalapathhar which is another most famous view point after destination in the Everest region. This 11 days trek plan start in Kathmandu we fly to Lukla the next day and start trekking from there. We charter a helicopter on our way back to Lukla from Gorak Shep which is last place or lodges on trek to Everest Base Camp. There is splendid views while you ride helicopter from Goraksshep to Lukla and one of the life time experience in the high mountain in the world.
Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1295m/4247ft), transfer to Hotel
Day 02: Fly to Lukla [2,850M / 9,350FT], trek to Phakding [2,650M / 8694FT] 8 km, 30 minute fly & 3-4 hours
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar [3,440M / 11286FT] 12 km, 6-7 hours
Day 04: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, explore around
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche [3,800M / 12,467FT] 10 km, 5-6 hours
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche [4400M / 14,435FT] 11 km, 5-6 hours
Day 07: Trek to Lobuche [4,900M / 16,076FT] 10 km, 4-5 hours
Day 08: Trek to Gorakshep [5,130M / 16,830FT], hike to Everest Base Camp [5,316M / 17,440FT] and return back to Gorakshep.15-17 km, 8- 9 hours
Day 09: Hike to top of the Kalapatthar [5,545M / 18,192FT] and after breakfast in Gorakshhep Fly Back to Lukla by Helicopter

Important Note:

The flight between Kathmandu and Lukla where the trek starts is generally reliable but if the weather is bad all flights will be delayed or canceled for the day. In the event the flight is cancelled we will attempt to get you on a chartered helicopter but you are responsible for the extra costs in this event which can range from $200 to $600 or more depending on the number of people on the flight.

We in some itinerary schedule one extra day into the trek already as a buffer day in case of delays and in some Itineraries do not have extra day after trek but as flights can at times be delayed for several days we suggest you add a couple of extra days at the end of your trip in case of any delays. Extra days should always be scheduled at the end of the trip and not the start.

Regarding personal equipment all trekkers need to bring with you a pair of well broken trek Boot, sleeping bag, down Jacket, pullovers, neck scarf, etc. for Evening/night/morning use, Sun Hat, casual warm clothing for day use, some pairs of good quality socks . Apart from above please bring slippers, suntan lotions and personal medication.
