We in some itinerary schedule one extra day into the trek already as a buffer day in case of delays and in some Itineraries do not have extra day after trek but as flights can at times be delayed for several days we suggest you add a couple of extra days at the end of your trip in case of any delays. Extra days should always be scheduled at the end of the trip and not the start.

Important Notes and Safety Concerns

Trekking is simply not just walking. Some of our trips are extremely adventurous and needs serious efforts to complete them successfully. We kindly request all our valuable guests to come well prepared before doing any of these extreme treks. Buying proper and reliable insurance coverage with Helicopter Evacuation on emergency is the most important thing before starting the adventures. Sometimes, our treks are done in extremely remote places where you will have no access to outer world. On serious injuries or sickness Helicopter can be the only mean to evacuate you. In other hand bad weather conditions can also ruin the whole adventures. So, we say

"Get prepared first and enjoy the adventure without worrying"

As per the time, your porter will make your breakfast/lunch arrangements in the Tea house in Lukla. The way to Phakding is almost trouble free and flat and on the way, you can see ancient Buddhist monasteries, warm Sherpa locality with their traditional agricultural farms. Yaks will be a common view in this journey as they are the means of transporting goods in Everest region. First, we will cross the Dudh Koshi river and then we will follow the Thado Khola en-route to Phakding. Phakding is a small village where you can see a number of lodges for the Everest route trekkers. On the way, you can encounter the view of Mt. Kusum Kangaru.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar [3,440 mt. / 11286FT] estimated walk 6 - 7 hours.

From Phakding we will start our journey towards Namche Bazaar which may take around 6-7 hours of walk. We will be crossing and re-crossing the rivers on high suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi river. Continuing our route we will then have to cross the Monjo area. And just after crossing the Monjo river, we will encounter the gateway to Everest i.e. Sagarmatha National Park. Sagarmatha National Park works for conserving the endangered species and flora, fauna of Everest region. There your trekking documents will be checked and then only you can take your further journey ahead. From this point, most of the path will be uphill and altitude will be higher. Walking on we will see the very first view of Mt. Everest (8,848 mt.) on a clear day. We will also encounter other mountain peaks like Mt. Thameserku, Mt. Kusum Kangaru, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Tawache etc. Finally, after a long and troublesome uphill trail, we will see the very first view of the very colorful and beautiful village Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, explore around

Today you will get the full day to acclimatize and prepare yourself for the further journey because the more height we climb the air is gonna be thinner and altitude will increase. You will discuss with your guide for calming and preparing yourself. Normally the guide suggests you talk a walk to Everest Viewpoint Hotel where you will be able to view the magnificent view of mountain peaks like Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Kusum Kangaru & Mt. Amadablam. If you still have time left then you can pay your visit to local Sherpa museum where you got to know about their community, traditions, cultures and musical instruments.

Day 06: Trek to Dole [4100 mt. / 13,451FT] estimated 5 - 6 hours

After having the breakfast in the lodge we will set out trail towards Dole. Today your path will be full of spectacular view of Mt. Everest can be seen right in front of your eyes. We will follow the trail of the north side of Namche village. When you make a short climb from the Namche, you can see the numerous glimpse of silver mountains. After trekking for a while, we will get to a junction to head to the various destination. From that junction, we will take the path towards Gokyo Lake and leave the trail to the Everest Base Camp. The target is to reach Mong La, a small hill station, from the junction. For our lunch, we will be resting further down towards Phortse Tanga. Then we will again continue our journey taking the steep uphill trail to reach Dole. There we will go through Rhododendron and pine forest. On the way, you can capture the stunning view of small and big clear waterfalls inside the jungle. Finally, we will make our night at Dole and prepare for the next day trekking.

Day 07: Trek to Machhermo [4,430 mt. / 14,534FT] estimated walk 3 - 4 hours

Today our destination will be Machhermo. Through the way, we will make the way through villages like Lhabarma [4,200 M] and Luza [4,400 M]. As we move forward, the route will be uphill but it is interesting to walk because of the mesmerizing surrounding and snow capped mountain views. The route is popular and we will encounter many people passing by. To reach the Machhermo, we will have to take the side of river backs. In 1974 AD, the first sight of Yeti was seen here in Machhermo. The route to Machhermo is short and can be reachable for the lunch. It depends
upon the speed of the trekkers. The route is rich in the of the many mountain peaks. After reaching the Machhermo we will be having our night stay and prepare for the Gokyo Lake trek for the next day.

Day 08: Trek to Gokyo Lake [4,750 mt. / 15,583FT] estimated walk 3 - 4 hours

After having our breakfast in Machhermo we will start our trekking to Gokyo Lake. Gokyo is the small town where there are the least number of lodges available for the trekkers. On the way to Gokyo, the path offers the stunning view beautiful mountain peaks like. Gokyo Peak, Mt, Thameserku, Mt. Kangtega and Cho Oyu etc. This part of the trail is most entertaining and relaxing. We will make our way through the villages like Pangram [4,400 M] and Longponga [4,700 M] etc. In these villages, you can see the footprints on old mud plastered stupa. Before we start our uphill trail to the moraine of Ngazumpa glacier we will be taking the downhill path to the river. We will be crossing many small frozen holy lakes till we reach the Gokyo Lake. We will then reach Gokyo Lake and arrange for our night stay.

Day 09: Hike to Gokyo RI [5,400 mt. / 17,716], acclimatization day in Gokyo, estimated walk 4-5 hours

The day is to acclimatize and make a short hike towards Gokyo RI. In the morning we will make our step towards Gokyo RI for the clear magnificent view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Kangtega, Bancharo Peak, Gokyo Peak, Mt. Cholatse etc. At the sunrise, these mountains view is breathtaking in a panoramic way. The reason Gokyo Ri is considered the most excellent place for trekking. You will have a marvelous feel from the top of the peak. The moment you will cherish in your whole life. After making a hike and returning back to Gokyo you will have enough time to stroll around and explore. There are wonderful lakes with mountains where you can make yourself quiet and peaceful. If you are feeling tired from your journey then you can sit and have a chat with your porter which may be resourceful for your further journey. Please let your guide know about your health if you have any kind of difficulty.

Day 10: Trek to Thaknak [4,750 mt. / 15,583FT] estimated walk 3 - 4 hours

After a wonderful day in Gokyo, we will start our journey towards Thaknak. Thaknak is a beautiful small village near Cho La Pass which is situated at the bottom. The path is quite difficult since the air is thin and the altitude is high. Mostly we will have to walk through the slippery paths of the glacier to reach to Thaknak. You will encounter much magnificent Blue ice on the way. Despite glacial path, the route is flat and will be fine for us to follow. In Thaknak, there are very few numbers of lodges for the trekkers. But for you, we will make the accommodation ready in Thaknak. We will spend our night there and prepare for next day trek to Cho La Pass.

Day 11: Trek to Dzongla [4750 mt. / 15,583FT] via Chola Pass [5,350 mt. / 17,552FT] estimated walk 7-8 hours

Today we will have to move early in the morning, probably 4 or 5 am because the stone may fall around the pass and will be difficult on a windy day. This day’s trek will be difficult compared to other days. It is difficult to walk around through the passes where there are thin air and high altitude. Also, with less air and high altitude, the path is much steeper. So, walking there is full of risk and fear. We have to be more careful while choosing our steps forward. Don’t get panicked because your will be guided by our experienced crew to cross this path. Once we reach the top of the Cho La Pass then only the path becomes easy as we will be walking downhill to Dzongla. Dzongla is the beautiful village in Everest region which is limited in resources for trekkers.

Day 12: Trek to Gorakshep [5,130 mt. / 16,830FT], estimated walk 6 - 7 hours

Compared to the uphill trek to Cho La Pass, the trek to Gorakshep is easier and appealing. First, the route is slightly downhill and then continuing forward we will find the normal uphill trail to Lobuche. From Lobuche, it is a small trek towards Gorakshep. The path is easy and offers you a beautiful view of various glazing mountains. Lobuche is rich in resources for trekkers in compared to Dzongla. A number of people make the camp in Lobuche to start their trek towards Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar. But we will move to Gorakshep to spend the night as from there the way to Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar is easy and trouble less.

Day 13: Hike to Everest Base Camp [5,316 mt. / 17,440FT] and return back to Gorakshep, estimated walk 6 - 7 hours

In the very first hour of the morning, we will make our way towards Everest Base Camp. To reach the camp we may need to walk through the moraines of glaciers. The trails will look flat but will be difficult as the lack of enough air and high altitude. Khumbu Glacier is one of the giant glaciers of the world and we will be walking along the side of that glacier. On the way, you will have a very close spec of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Amadablam & numbers of other small peaks. On the way to the Everest Base Camp, you will see the stones which have names on it. Those are the tombstones of climbers who didn’t make to their destination. For us also the trail may sometimes be false because of the movement of icefall and glaciers. The route to Everest Base Camp is busy in the main expedition season. Normally it takes 3-4 hour of walk to reach to Base Camp and the same duration to return to Gorakshep.

Day 14: Hike to top of the Kalapatthar [5,545 mt. / 18,192FT] and trek to Dingboche [4,350 mt. / 14,271FT], estimated walk 8-9 hours

In the morning you can enjoy the breathtaking view of silver mountains when the sun hits it with its glazing light. The view is just mesmerizing which you will cherish for your whole life. Kalapatthar is another most amazing place in our trekking. From the top of it, you can see the sunrise over the mountains of Khumbu right in front of you. The place will you give the experience of your lifetime. The reason for calling It Kalapatthar because there are only black rocks. Being at the top of Kalapatthar, the Everest look imaginative with the presence of numbers of mountains. You will find some people saying the Mt. Everest as a shy mountain because it is hiding behind two other mountains and its view is only visible from very few places. After spending an amazing moment on top of Kalapatthar we will then start our journey towards Dingboche via Gorakshep. We will be having our lunch on the way to Dingboche. The path will be down stream until we reach Dingboche. Dingboche is the also considered as the gateway to Island peak. Island peak is popular among climbers with less technical knowledge regarding climbing and trekking.

Day 15: Trek to Tengboche [3,800 mt. / 14,467FT] estimated walk 4 - 5 hours

Today after having our breakfast in Dingboche we will start our journey towards Tengboche. We will be walking through the trails of villages in that region and side by side view of Mt. Amadablam. Moving on we will have to climb a little to Tengboche, the place is famous place and viewpoint of many old Buddhist monasteries. Once you reach your Hotel and have enough time to explore then you can visit the oldest monasteries present in Khumbu region.

Day 16: Trek to Monjo [2,835 mt. / 9,301FT] estimated walk 7 - 8 hours

Today our destination will be to reach Monjo. We will start our walk after having the breakfast and proper packing. The path towards Monjo is slightly downhill but also easy for trekkers. The stream of uphill and downhill continues on this road until we reach the Namche Bazaar. The walk for this day is quite long compared to others since we will walk for 7-8 hours to reach Monju. The path is not so difficult one problem will be up and downhill of the trails.

Day 17: Trek to Lukla [2,850 mt. / 9,350FT] estimated walk 5 - 6 hours

Today we will head back to the place where we started this journey. After having our breakfast in the morning we will be moving towards Lukla via Phakding. We will follow the same trail which we used at first and second day of our trek. While walking towards Lukla we will say goodbye to the mountains once welcomed us. You will reach Lukla and have a proper rest for next day trip. Here you can say to your porter and local guides and offer them something from your side if you want. The last day in the mountain region.

Day 18: Fly to Kathmandu, 30-40 minutes and transfer to Hotel

Today we will head back to the Kathmandu by air which takes around 30-40 minutes to reach. The flight will be same as we experienced while going to Lukla. You may get stuck in Lukla if the condition goes bad. At that time your journey will be extended since there will be no flight to Kathmandu.

Day 19: Free day to explore Kathmandu

This day will be your final day in Nepal. So, this is your last time to stroll around the streets of Kathmandu. You can pay a visit to famous places and gather some souvenir for your loved ones. And if you make a request to your guide he may be able to help you shop and explore the places around Kathmandu.
